Looking for a volunteer service opportunity for National Honor Society or that college application? Come and join thousands of volunteers on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., for the annual Raritan Headwaters Association's Stream Clean-Up, located at the Rockaway Creek Preserve, Route 523, Tewksbury Township, just a softball's throw south of the Route 78/Exit 24 interchange.  Gloves and bags will be distributed to collect garbage and debris from the wetlands adjacent to the Rockaway Creek, a state DEP Category-1 trout production stream, a source of clean drinking water for millions of New Jersey residents. Please come and help us preserve our fragile ecosystem from non-point pollution sources and microplastics. Service hour documentation will be provided to all volunteers. This has been a STARS tradition since 1996.

Shake off those winter blues and register for the 2025 Spring-Summer 14U season! The STARS are celebrating our 30th Anniversary as Hunterdon County's oldest travel softball program. Those players who were 14 years old or younger as of 9/1/24 are eligible to participate in 14U competition. Season starts with Long Valley Tournament on 5/18, then Parkway League games begin in mid-June, after the school and recreational leagues have finished. We will play in at least 30 games, including 3-4 local tournaments, with season concluding by third week in July with league playoffs. Practices will be 1-2 per week. All practices and home games will be held at Tewksbury's Old Turnpike School and Voorhees High School.  Registration is $320 (same as previous 2 seasons), and includes league and tournament fees, umpire and assignment fees, insurance, field maintenance and supplies, equipment, and other necessary costs. Don't delay and register today! 

Since 1996, the STARS have offered registration scholarships to those folks who may be struggling a bit during this difficult economic climate. Our registration budget is bare bones with the biggest bang for your buck compared to other travel teams in Hunterdon, Morris or Warren Counties. And if you are considering trying out for a club or "showcase" team, be prepared for a severe case of sticker shock. You may have to take out a second mortgage to pay for the outrageous fees, uniforms, hotels, meals, gas, and long distance traveling expenses these fly by night programs charge.

We only charge for actual expenses, such as umpires, league and tournament fees, uniforms, field prep and maintenance, and insurance. Nothing less, nothing more.
