US Soccer's new birth year standards: how the teams are built
As of fall 2016, US Soccer has implemented a birth year standard for determining on which team each player is placed. This will be a change from the August/September cutoffs that most leagues have previously used. All teams will have players born in the same year (or one year after if a child plays up.)
