This is the Welcome message area. It appears top-center on each level (Org, Pro, League, Team) of customer sites, as the central description of what the area/pages are all about.
The message is more or less permanent, but can be changed any time. It's a good idea to encourage folks to "check back often" for news and updates, and "your suggestions are always welcome". And, sign off with your name and contact info. Fully formed URLs and email addresses become clickable.

News[Jan 21 2016] Optional Comments Running HighAt the end of a registration, users are given the option of telling us about their experience. There is no requirement to do this. For July, 2015, we received over 1% responses, which is a high rate for this sort of thing. Among those, all responses were "excellent", except for four "good" ratings.
Sometimes we get great information on how to improve, and we always write back if we can answer a question. Ratings are shared with admins. [Jan 21 2016] Talk About News!Here, admins can post news to keep their users up to date. Items are presented chronologically, most recent on top. A new item appears on top of the "stack" and bumps the current site-active items down a slot.
News items can be edited, keeping the original post date or updated to today. News can be made inactive on the site - not deleted, but stored for future re-use. This becomes a great filing cabinet of history for the program, so passing the torch to a new admin occurs without loss of knowledge. |
